National Food
The national food of Terre Okapi is a stew made from many local ingredients. It is called Moambe stew The main ingredients are chicken, tomatoes, cassava leaves, spices and palm butter. It is a common dish all cross Central Africa. The name Moambe stew comes from the word Moambe for the palm butter. It is normally served with either rice or fufu which is typically made with yams, plantains or cassava.
